why should you vote for me?
When my husband and I decided to move here 16 years ago, we knew that we were about to start our family and our local schools were a big draw for this community. Today I have a freshman and a 6th grader; I expect to be in our high school district for the next 7 years. As a working parent with kids in the district, I bring an important perspective to our board.
I earned a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering in 2008 from Stanford University. Today, I have a career as a project manager for a large engineering project. I know how to set a vision together with other invested community members. I know that I am not the expert on everything, so I know how to listen to the experts, and how to ask questions. I excel at analyzing budgets.
I am an active volunteer in the community. In 2018, I was honored with the Saratoga Union School District volunteer of the year award. I have held numerous leadership positions across the parent teacher associations and educational foundations. I've chaired programs such as math team, musicals, robotics clubs, and community events. I'm proud to have been a Project Cornerstone reader for several years.
